According to the federal communique, in January 2, 2018, the EPA issued regulations to exempt Phenylethyl acetate as pesticide residues in crops and agricultural products.
The maximum amount of benzene ethyl acetate as a pesticide additive (solvent) is 0.015% in the pesticide. The application for this exemption is submitted by Technology Science Group Inc., and the company represents Janeil Biosurfactant Company. The new regulations come into force on the date of promulgation and are sought for the end of March 5, 2018.
Some of the original reports are as follows:
This Regulation establishes an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of phenylethyl acetate (CAS Reg. No. 103-45-7 when used as an inert) ingredient (solvent) at a maximum of pesticide formulations applied to 0.015% in growing crops and raw agricultural commodities after harvest. Technology Science Group Inc., on behalf of Janeil Biosurfactant Company, submitted a petition to EPA under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA), requesting establishment of an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance.
